Learn How To Do Hawaiian Applique
Hawaiian applique has a fascinating history and is unique to that part of the world. On this fun workshop you’ll learn a little bit more of the history (always interesting to know where a design comes from I think), how to create your own design, you’ll make your own template and then create a Hawaiian Applique block. You can either finish this block as is and turn into a wallhanging, or you can go home and make a few more to turn it into a quilt.
You’ll need to have a machine that can do blanket or zigzag stitch (blanket stitch looks better) and be pretty competent at going around sharp corners and turns. If you’re a bit rusty at this or new to it, don’t worry, I’ll teach you how on the day and by the end of the workshop you’ll be whizzing around like a pro!
Guaranteed lots of fun and you’ll make new friends along the way. And you’ll discover a whole new creative side that you didn’t know you had 🙂 Check out the gallery above for a few of our customer makes. Yours will look this stunning too, we promise!
The workshop will run on Saturday 3rd November 2018 from 10am – 4.30pm and your day will include lunch.
A fabric and equipment list will be provided about two weeks before your workshop.
